(Moncton, NB) MMAAZZ, the leading smart in-line sensor provider for the food and beverage industry and a division of Masitek Instruments Inc., has added Gerber, a brand of food giant Nestle to the growing list of packaging companies looking to improve their productivity.
Executive Vice-President of Global Business Development for MMAAZZ, Pablo Asiron, stated, “Nestle celebrated their 150th anniversary in 2016 and they are the world’s largest food and beverage company. They have more than 2000 brands ranging from global icons to local favourites, and they are present in 191 countries around the world. The fact that this company is looking to us for help in optimizing their jar lines says a lot about our product.”
Launched in 1928, Gerber, which was purchased by Nestle in 2007, is the market leader in infant foods in the US. The charcoal drawing of a baby’s face, which is their logo, was put in place in 1931 and is so popular with consumers that it is still in place today.
“For people who don’t get to see bottling and canning facilities, they would be amazed at the quantity of jars that Gerber produces. I was amazed and I see these kinds of plants all the time. The issue that they are looking to solve is the amount of pressure that their jars are receiving on the lines. They are using our PressureQC to start,” concluded Asiron.
President and CEO of MMAAZZ, Tracy Clinch added, “The size and quality of the companies that our sales team have been bringing on board over the past number of months is most impressive. We are talking name brands that are known around the world. If your customers are your resume, I am very proud of ours.”
MMAAZZ Smart In-Line Sensors are deployed in over 35 countries globally, at top tier bottling and packaging companies including Unilever, Nestle, AB InBev, Heineken, Carlsberg and more.
