E. & J. Gallo Winery, the world’s largest winery based in Modesto, California is the latest top bottling company to deploy MMAAZZ Technology’s ShockQC™ and PressureQC™ sensor solutions in their continued efforts to streamline production.

Established in 1933, family-owned Gallo Winery offers a broad array of products that totals ninety brands. Gallo is one of the most highly acclaimed wine companies in the world, having earned major awards from prestigious wine competitions in the US and internationally. The company owns fifteen wineries in California and Washington and was the first winery in the US to receive the International Standards Organization’s ISO 14001 certification, created to assist companies with reducing impacts on the environment.

“The main issue they were looking to improve was the reduction of high impact, pressure and friction areas that were damaging both the bottles and the labels”, states MMAAZZ’s EVP, Global Sales, Pablo Asiron. “In the wine business, the look of the final product on the shelf is a huge factor. After all the time, labour and love that goes into producing a bottle of wine, a scuffed bottle or worn label can damage the reputation that they have worked so consistently to build.”

By using MMAAZZ acrylic replicas on their lines, Gallo production managers are able to pinpoint areas of impact by receiving wireless data streamed in real time to their monitor.

“When your products are being chosen by the world’s largest breweries and wineries it is a testament to our development as a company and to the products we are putting forward,” says the President and CEO of MASITEK Instruments Inc., Tracy Clinch. “The fact that we can help improve a company that has been operating at the top of its field for over eighty years is significant.”

MMAAZZ is the global leader in dynamic real-time sensor technology with installations at bottling giants AB InBev, Carlsberg, Guinness, Diagio and Beam-Suntory.
